Meet Suzanne and Ed

Winding Brooks is a labor of love designed and built by Ed. His love of plants, flowers, the land and nature have inspired him to create these beautiful gardens. The park-like setting includes  water features with winding streams that gently cascade to a large water pond. An abundance of natural rock and boulders, water plants, numerous varieties of plants and flowers, two pergola areas for outdoor ceremonies, and unusually shaped trees line the gardens for everyone to enjoy. This gorgeous landscape is the backdrop for a 5,000 sq. ft. banquet hall accommodating up to 250 guests, including very spacious bride and groom suites!   Together the grounds and the rustic building provide the perfect indoor indoor or outdoor wedding venue accommodations to make your event or photography session even more special!

We are honored that you would consider bringing your family and friends to Winding Brooks, where you will create ever-lasting memories and share in this labor of love!

“How it all started ….

I always dreamed of the perfect outdoor wedding with the most beautiful sunset — what a true blessing that my dream actually came true plus more!! With only a short 3 month engagement finding a venue became difficult as many dates were already reserved or only allotted a 2-3 hour time slot for setup, wedding and cleanup! I must admit, my checklist was rather picky when it came to a venue – outdoors, beautiful, place for reception, clear view of sunset, place for dancing, restrooms, changing rooms and the list goes on. I randomly stumbled upon Winding Brooks while looking at a photographers website and immediately fell in love, mind you this was before it became Winding Brooks. It had beautiful trees, ponds, lily pads, the works…absolutely perfect!! However, when I spoke to Ed he informed me it was not a venue – so disappointed I asked, on the off-chance, if he and Suzanne would consider letting us have it there! They said YES! Then Ed and Suzanne being the most gracious of hosts went WAY above and beyond what I expected or would even have asked of them. Because of simply how gorgeous it was I was willing to sacrifice the restrooms, dance floor and pretty much everything except beautiful place with sunset. However, wanting me to have the perfect wedding, Ed, on his own accord, decided to build from scratch an adorable changing room for bride and groom with ADA accessible guest bathrooms as well! Then he added a beautiful arch for the wedding ceremony, stone pathway, huge gorgeous potted plants and a giant pavilion for tables, chairs, dancing and reception! They took extra special care of us every step of the way and were so genuinely happy to make the most important day of our lives the absolute best they could! Not only that but we had plenty of time to set up, have a LONG wedding and reception and cleanup afterwards! I literally tell every one of my bride-to-be friends that Winding Brooks is the place to go!! Now it’s even more decked out – with a fully enclosed pavilion AND kitchen!! Nothing beats it.
Not to mention the price and the hosts you’re getting!!

We will be forever grateful to Ed and Suzanne for making our wedding day the best day of our lives!!
We love them!!”
